Gasparilla Distance Classic Weekend Edition
The biggest race and party of the Tampa Bay area has come and gone. Did you run it? Did you cheer someone on the course? What do you think of the overall race experience? I liked the new start but missed watching all the people run up the bridge. I’d vote to go back to the old start. - Rico Casares
I ran the half marathon last year and enjoyed my very first half marathon. I did not like that this years route took the runners past the cooking food along the bridge as they were getting ready for the finishers. Aside from that, I enjoyed the enthusiasm of the spectators and volunteers, the food, and the Health & Fitness Expo. Thank you for offering such a great experience to my sister and me. Gasparilla is one of my most favorite races and this year was terrific! The one thing I would change is to go back to having the men and the women start separately for the 15k. I liked it better that way and think it would be more fair to the women.
