True, 2009 was a post-Olympic year. But for elite runners, there was no letdown, no doldrums. Champions who'd proven themselves to be among the all-time greats managed to become even greater. 11.26.09 - Turkey Trot races attract 15,415 runners

St. Petersburg’s Christa Benton crosses the finish line more than four minutes ahead of her nearest competitor at the inaugural Women's Half-Marathon in downtown St. Petersburg.
